The world now lives and breathes AI (Artificial Intelligence). Whether that is your fridge letting you know you need milk or the promoted reply in your text or DM response. Or perhaps you are using ChatGPT to help you rewrite your report or resume. No matter what, AI is fully integrated into our daily lives. And that means our sponsorship lives as well.

Many a sponsorship proposal today is being written by ChatGPT (and then fine tuned by human review if done correctly). If you have done the discovery sessions properly you can provide ChatGPT or Google Gemini or Microsoft Copilot can help you write the report. Feed the system your data such as prospect needs, budget, measurement tools etc. and let it draft you a proposal. Your role is then to fine tune it with the rough AI or by human intuition (or both).

Likewise, many organizations are using AI to help sponsors navigate their investments or track ROI. Sponsors are using AI (and have been for decades) to screen sponsorship submissions. AI is used for activations and tracking as well as audience tracking for broadcast numbers and more. Technology rules the roost and we need to understand the power of AI to make our jobs less hectic and more highly productive. Nothing will ever replace the human interaction and relationship process, but AI can help to navigate that success for us if we are open to it.

As a consultancy we use AI driven metrics in our big data segmentation work around pout Sponsorship Playbook product for clients and their prospecting. We can fine tune the process through algorithms on who a property should be speaking to for sponsorship based on who the property’s audience is (from empirical data not guessing) and where those individuals spend their daily cash… what cars they buy, how often they eat at restaurants and specifically which restaurants and how much they spend there on an annual basis. Imagine approaching a sponsors and showing them this sort of generated empirical data as a case for support in why they should be targeting your audience through a sponsorship with you!
